​ My name is Katie and I

founded a film company

ten years ago. Back then I

was desperate to make

films but I absolutely

hated the seriousness of

corporate video. I wanted

to have fun making films

and I wanted people to

actually enjoy watching them and to not switch off after a few seconds.

Fly Girl Films naturally became quite an accessible film company. We worked closely with members of the arts community, local authorities and because of our chilled out, compassionate approach to filmmaking, we ended up helping to tell important stories from those most vulnerable in our community.

 

Ten years on we’ve had a decade to build a strong clientele and develop a style which is very unique to us. I’m still not quite sure how to put it into words but I’m often told that you can tell when you’re watching a Fly Girl film.
